About The Pledge

Share your parental policy with The Expecting Playbook team to contribute to an open-source document on parental policies in Toronto

The purpose of this pledge is to provide visibility into parental policies in tech companies, a topic that is often discussed behind closed doors.

By doing so, we hope to support equality and diversity in the workplace by allowing employees to have their families and careers run in parallel.

I pledge to publicize my company's parental policy by making the policy visible both on our website and in our onboarding package for new employees within 90 days of signing this pledge.

In this pledge we ask you to do two things:

Publicize your company's parental leave policy clearly on your website and in your onboarding package

A  playbook and pledge focused on supporting new parents.

When companies publicize their policies they mitigate bias that new parents may encounter at work. By clearly starting your policy online, you are directly supporting diversity and equity at your company.
